Shoots in the making.....

Well this week I have 2 shoots set up on friday morning and saturday morning. I am really looking forward to the saturday shoot, western themed in the stockyards and she is bringing a horse. First time to work with animals on a shoot, should be a good day for the shoot, just hot. Have another set up with a signed model that needs more shots for her port. Should give me some good exposure to a new modeling company that's located in Dallas. Going to be interesting, usually I don't shoot a whole lot in July or August due to the heat, but this year, I'm getting busy.

What to do...

Well trying to keep up on this and here is what has been going on. Had a shoot set up with a client that has been wanting me to shoot her for awhile. Had the shoot set up, location scouted, and ready to go. Yep, you guessed it, canceled less than 12 hours before the shoot. Got a little pissy about it due to not shooting for some time and told her to let me know when she could shoot without canceling, oh, forgot to say that this is not the first time to cancel. I am under the impression that she is offened since my text, phone calls, and e-mails are not being answered, lol.

Back in the swing of things

Well, I took a little hiatus from photography for a month or two and am starting to get back into things. I am officially laid off again as of the 9th of July and am planning on taking advantage of the re-training offered through the state and going to go back to school. Going to try for X-ray Tech and try for MRI or CT Scans. Should have alot of job opportunities and the pay is pretty good.

Just finishing cleaning up.

I have finally went and cleaned up my albums, gotten some of the old stuff out. I have added a new album, Old Stock that contains all of the items I "cleaned". I will be adding new items this week of recent shoots and of newer flowers, landscapes and such. I am starting to pick up a few paying gigs here and there, but still do alot of TF stuff, free shoots for some of my previous models and also gaining a few new faces to add to my portfolio.

Another Great Week

Have been employed with Vought Aircraft Industries for almost 2 months and love it. Took one heck of a pay cut from working in the oilfield, but I am home every night and don't have to travel.

Latest Photo Shoots

Well, have had a few more photo shoots since the last post. Shot a new model, Jennifer that I had contact with through Model Mayhem. The location was a old railroad bridge that I have taken pictures of in the past. The photo's were good but the wardrobe choice was not very flattering for the model, we had a discussion about it the other day but agreed that there were some nice pictures of her. We are planning another shoot in the near future and will post new shots then. The same evening I shot Caitlin at the same location with good results.

Going back to work.......

I will be going back to work on Monday morning with Vought Aircraft in Grand Prarie. I can't wait, been off for almost 3 months. I went to take some new photo's of a new model, Jessica, down at the Ft Worth Stockyards with her in "cowgirl" attire. The photo's were shot in digital for the color and film for the black/white. Some of the color photo's were editted to black/white and sepia in Picasa. The pictures turned out great and she is very easy to work with. The picture's are posted here and at Model Mayhem. Will post again soon.

Under Construction

Well, the site is running but as you can see it is under construction.  I need to get some blocks set up for contact info and prices for prints.  If you didn't already know the contact info. it is.....

Shoot cancelled at last minute.

Well I had a photo shoot scheduled today at 2pm with a new model I had met through Model Mayhem that is local in my area. Talked with her this morning and everything was going great, couldn't wait for the shoot and such. So I leave work an hour early from over time today to make the shoot a little early to get set up. On my way home I get a text message about an hour and 20 minutes before the shoot that she's been sick since 4 am and has to cancel the shoot. I had worked hard to get the location, the right model, and a great idea for the shoot.
